Strategic Account Manager – Contract Manufacturing Services (North America)

Join our client in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. This is NOT a role for Drug Reps. Must have experience selling Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and development services.

Our client, a CDMO, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to drive growth across North America. This role is perfect for an account developer who thrives in technical, long-cycle sales and can translate scientific innovation into business success.

    What You’ll Do
  • Build and expand strategic customer relationships with senior decision-makers.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within your accounts aligned with internal capabilities. Estimated 20-50mm in existing business.
  • Drive revenue growth through account expansion and new program wins.
  • Lead proposals, bids, and complex contract negotiations with autonomy.
  • Collaborate with global regulatory, R&D, and manufacturing teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Represent the organization at key industry events and convert visibility into pipeline growth.
    What We’re Looking For
  • Education: B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years in strategic account management or business development within CDMO/pharma services.
  • Proven success in developing and managing complex client relationships.
  • Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
  • Excellent executive-level communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel across North America (and occasionally internationally).

Compensation

Competitive base salary + performance-based incentives, plus comprehensive benefits. Bonus up to 75%, Car allowance plus mileage
