Northwest Administrators, Inc. is an industry leader in third-party administration of employee benefits. They are seeking a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Create journal entries to record transactions on a modified cash basis
- Reconcile all cash and investment accounts monthly
- Prepare financial statements accurately and within required timeframes
- Monitor and facilitate appropriate and timely processing of Trust expenses
- Calculate premium and administrative fees timely and accurately
- Back-up daily cash management and investment directives tasks, as needed
Skills
- Knowledge accounting principles and practices
- 1+ year of operational accounting; employee benefits experience a plus
- Degree in Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience
- Work independently as well as collaborate with others
- Able to quickly assess and analyze problems and develop solutions
- Proficient in MS Office with advanced level QuickBooks & Excel
