Job DescriptionSocial Media and Marketing Coordinator We are looking for a dedicated individual to serve as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for Elena’s Light. The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator contributes to the fulfillment of Elena’s Light mission by developing, implementing, and managing the social media strategy to highlight our work. Responsibilities include leading the social media volunteer team, managing EL social media accounts, measuring web traffic and monitoring SEO, and more. The Social Media and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Elena’s Light team to ensure social media accounts and website reflect current projects and campaigns. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leading the social media volunteer team in new projects• Volunteer engagement, retention, and appreciation: scheduling and running regular volunteer meetings to divide and allocate tasks • Developing, implementing, and managing the social media strategy• Creating text, video, and image content• Collecting sound bites, quick interviews, photos, videos from volunteers• Measuring web traffic and monitoring SEO• Devising new ways to increase awareness of the organization and attract prospective donors,collaborators, etc.• Overseeing social media accounts’ layout and website so as to always reflect current projectsand campaigns• Updating EL website regularly• Displaying adherence to the organization’s mission.• 10 hours/week, unpaid The ideal candidate will be:• An independent, detail-oriented, and motivated self-starter • Creativity• Passionate about refugee issues and non-profit work• Experience in marketing, web design and/or social media marketing preferred• Photo and video-editing experience preferred Check with your school's Internship Coordinator BEFORE accepting the hiring offer to determine if this position satisfies the criteria for receiving academic credit.
