    Description: This course provides practical tools for writing in university and beyond. Students will gain experience in generating ideas, clarifying insights, structuring arguments, composing paragraphs and sentences, critiquing and revising their writing, and communicating effectively to diverse audiences. This course does not count toward any English program.

    Salary 

    • SL1 - $19,641.40 per full course  

    • SL2 - $21020.07 per full course  

    • SL2LT- $21,520.55 per full course  

    • SL3LT - $22,060.71 per full course  

     

    Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.  

     

    Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, admin. and marking of assignments, tests and exams; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours; supervising any TAs assigned to course, if applicable.  

     

    Minimum Qualifications:  PhD in English with specialization in and/or experience teaching composition/writing at the university level; strong academic record, demonstrated teaching ability, evidence of currency in subject matter.
