Callibrity is based in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is full-time and remote based, but must work on U.S. Eastern or Central Time working hours. Will not consider non-US based candidates.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you are a leader by example, you are a subject matter expert, and you help lead strategic technical direction. You will get to interact with key client stakeholders on a regular basis and use your experience to prove business ROI through innovative greenfield technology solutions. Responsibilities:

Are trusted advisors to our clients and seen as thought leaders in the tech industry

Are keenly aware of big picture business problems and goals and capable of a leadership role

Mentor, train, and upskill your Callibrity peers and clients’ teams

Can solve a wide variety of problems with the appropriate solution drawn from a large subset

Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing

Proactively identify problems, challenges, and issues and recommend the best possible solution

Demonstrate mastery and cable to teach software development best practices (Agile, DevOps, Test Automation, CI/CD, TDD) to others

Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new technologies including AI, Machine Learning, Cloud, and IoT

Thrive in an environment where there is close interaction among different roles and teams

Are admired by the client as someone they can count on, regardless of title or seniority

Requirements:

7+ years of professional software development experience.

3+ years of demonstrated ability designing, building, and maintaining RESTful web services.

3+ years of proven experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Deep proficiency in Python and experience with at least one Python web framework (e.g., Django, Flask).

Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React.js.

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g., Git).

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).

Knowledge of SaaS applications, multi-tenant architectures, and DevOps/CI/CD practices.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and/or developing applications for a major public cloud provider is a plus

Professional experience in corporate Information Technology and/or Consulting

Experience leading a team of Software Developers and Associate Software Developers is a plus

Mentorship and pair programming experience

Four-year degree or successful completion of a respected developer bootcamp/accelerator, or extensive mentorship program
