Our client, a leader in sustainable energy development, is actively seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Renewable Energy Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of renewable energy projects, conducting market research, and developing strategic insights to support project acquisition and development. You will play a key role in assessing the potential of solar, wind, and other renewable energy technologies, forecasting market trends, and developing financial models. The ideal candidate will possess a strong quantitative background, in-depth knowledge of renewable energy technologies and markets, and exceptional analytical and communication skills. This is a remote-first position, offering the opportunity to contribute to impactful clean energy initiatives from anywhere in the US. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed technical and economic feasibility studies for renewable energy projects. Analyze market dynamics, policy landscapes, and competitive environments relevant to renewable energy. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate project returns and risks. Assess the performance and output of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage). Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and investment memos for internal stakeholders and potential investors. Collaborate with development, engineering, and finance teams to support project execution. Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting the renewable energy sector. Identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships. Support due diligence processes for project acquisitions and financings. Qualifications: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related quantitative field. 5+ years of experience in renewable energy project analysis, financial modeling, or market research. Strong understanding of solar, wind, and energy storage technologies. Proficiency in financial modeling software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R). Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly and concisely. Familiarity with renewable energy markets, policies, and incentives. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
