The Senior Manager of Inventory Control & Quality Assurance will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of inventory accuracy, quality performance, and operational compliance across DSV’s North American Contract Logistics, High Tech II vertical.

This role is responsible for driving inventory integrity, storage health, and quality excellence across a multi-site 3PL footprint. The leader will oversee regionally dispersed ICQA resources and influence site operations teams to deliver measurable improvements in accuracy, shrink reduction, and process adherence.

Success in this role requires the ability to drive results through both direct and indirect leadership and influence, embedding standards and accountability across a highly matrixed operations organization.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence

Lead a team of regionally distributed ICQA managers, leads, and analysts

Build capability and consistency across sites through training, tools, and governance

Partner closely with:

Site Operations Leaders

Engineering & Continuous Improvement teams

Account Management / Customer teams

Influence without direct authority to ensure adoption of ICQA standards

Inventory Accuracy & Control

Own network-wide inventory accuracy performance, including:

Cycle count execution and compliance

Root cause analysis of discrepancies

Shrink and missing inventory reduction programs

Establish standardized inventory control policies, audit routines, research best practices, and escalation processes

Drive accountability across site operations teams for inventory accuracy KPIs

Implement reporting and dashboards to track:

Inventory accuracy

Adjustments and write-offs

Root cause trends

Storage Capacity & Inventory Health

Define and monitor storage utilization and capacity health metrics across the network

Partner with operations and engineering to:

Monitor and proactively manage storage health (fullness)

Prevent related congestion, operational inefficiencies, and inventory integrity risks

Develop frameworks for inventory health management, including:

Aging inventory

Obsolescence risk

Location accuracy

Quality Assurance & Performance Management

Establish and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned to customer and operational requirements

Define and govern quality performance standards, including:

Error rates (picking, shipping, receiving)

Customer complaints and defect tracking

Process adherence and audit compliance

Lead development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent execution across sites

Implement structured quality audits and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA)

Continuous Improvement & Standardization

Lead ICQA-driven continuous improvement initiatives across the network

Utilize data to identify systemic issues and prioritize improvements

Deploy Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve:

Inventory accuracy

Process reliability

Quality outcomes

Track and report realized improvements and cost avoidance

Continuous Improvement & Standardization

Ensure alignment between ICQA processes and WMS/LMS systems

Drive enhancements to inventory control and quality reporting tools

Partner with IT and analytics teams to improve visibility and automation

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)

8–10+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics (3PL experience strongly preferred)

5+ years in inventory control, quality assurance, or operational excellence leadership

Experience managing multi-site distribution networks

Proven track record improving:

Inventory accuracy

Shrink reduction

Operational quality metrics

Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization

Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability

Executive-level communication and stakeholder management

Process-oriented with a bias for standardization and scalability

Technical & Functional Skills

Understanding of supply chain KPIs and 3PL cost-to-serve models

Strong knowledge of WMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, etc.)

Experience with inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, root cause analysis, audit frameworks)

Familiarity with quality systems and tools (QMS, CAPA, audit frameworks)

Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, large datasets)

Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Experience with SQL, data modeling, and data visualization best practices (preferred but not required)

Understanding of storage optimization and warehouse layout principles

Travel

Expected 20-40% travel

For this position, the expected base pay range is $113,040.00 – $141,300.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
