About the Role

Are you passionate about leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and experimentation to drive measurable business outcomes? We are looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Digital Analytics (EDA) team within the arenaflex Media Exchange division. This is a unique opportunity to apply advanced analytics, causal inference, and strategic problem-solving to grow digitally enabled products at one of the most recognized healthcare brands in the industry.

Our full-channel advertising solutions leverage arenaflex's extensive online and offline data, broad reach, and customer insights to deliver measurable outcomes. With a range of flexible pricing and buying models, including self-service options, these solutions help businesses build brand awareness, engage with arenaflex consumers, and convert customers into loyal buyers.

As part of our team supporting enterprise products (arenaflex Media Exchange and arenaflex.com/mobile application), you will be exposed to all specialty units within arenaflex. You'll partner closely with colleagues to understand their challenges and develop data-driven analysis solutions that drive real business impact.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models for both classification and regression problems, using cutting-edge AI techniques to solve complex business challenges

  • Analyze customer journeys to identify opportunities that drive increased adoption, engagement, retention, and conversion across digital platforms

  • Develop personalization capabilities using artificial intelligence to target specific audiences for relevant outreach campaigns

  • Design, execute, and optimize online A/B tests to measure impact and improve product performance

  • Apply causal inference methodologies and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) to optimize tests where traditional A/B testing is not feasible or appropriate

  • Create and implement algorithms and statistical predictive models to evaluate various scenarios and potential future outcomes

  • Conduct investigations of structured and unstructured data to solve diverse and complex business problems using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their business challenges and goals, developing predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and performance metrics

  • Prepare data for analysis, working closely with data engineering teams to create modeling datasets, evaluate data quality, and perform feature engineering

  • Create and deliver presentations to existing and prospective stakeholders on analysis findings and strategic recommendations

  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical, non-technical, and senior leadership audiences

  • Utilize strong programming skills in Python and SQL to explore, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data in various formats

  • Leverage advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze massive datasets from multiple data sources

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical methodologies

Required Qualifications


  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience applying modern machine learning techniques to build predictive models for both classification and regression problems

  • Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience using Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling

  • Business Communication: 2+ years of experience extracting meaningful insights from analysis and interpreting results of complex models to present to business audiences, including technical, non-technical, and senior leadership stakeholders

  • Data Engineering: 2+ years of experience preparing data for analysis, collaborating with data engineering teams to create modeling datasets, evaluating data completeness and quality, and performing feature engineering

  • Advanced Analytics: 2+ years of experience applying knowledge of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large datasets from various data sources

  • Experimental Design: 2+ years of experience in experimental design and managed/solo machine learning approaches

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience designing and implementing online A/B testing experiments at scale

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to diverse audiences

  • Strong ability to communicate confidently and clearly with colleagues, project teams, and senior management

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and prevent issues before they occur

  • Proficiency in multiple areas of mathematical analysis techniques, machine learning, statistical analysis, experimental design, and predictive modeling, with deep specialization in certain areas

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a related discipline

  • Experience with causal inference methodologies and Marketing Mix Modeling

  • Background in healthcare, retail, or digital advertising analytics

Work Environment & Culture

This position follows a hybrid work plan, located primarily in our California office with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week. You will be expected to commute to the office 3 days per week on a rotating schedule, allowing for collaborative in-person sessions while maintaining work-life balance.

Compensation:



  • The typical salary range for this position is $106,605.00 - $206,000.00 annually

  • Actual base compensation will depend on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations

  • Eligible for arenaflex bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs in addition to base salary
