Position Overview
As a Senior Analytics Engineer at arenaflex, you will work closely with internal IT information design and analytics teams to implement and maintain data pipeline infrastructure that enables report automation for the arenaflex Healthcare Quality Improvement program – Data and Insights commercialization. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing data solutions that empower stakeholders across the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of arenaflex Health data and insights initiatives and projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Data Pipeline Development: Plan, develop, and deploy layered databases and data pipelines to support reporting and analytics projects across the organization.
- ETL/ELT Implementation: Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading best practices to integrate large datasets from various internal arenaflex production system sources and third-party files.
- Data Modeling: Create data organization and preprocessing standards for populating logical and physical data models attached to report-specific working tables for both enterprise business intelligence and predefined reporting solutions.
- Data Analysis: Perform data profiling and data analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained data, and standard healthcare datasets including member eligibility, clinical claims, pharmacy claims, and HEDIS ECDS records.
- Automation: Develop internal tools for automation of all development-related activities including data processing, QA, and data validation.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of data experts, BI engineers, system administrators, and data consumers to deliver performance insights across arenaflex Health.
- Support Activities: Support long-term and ad-hoc data ETL and data warehousing activities to meet arenaflex Health reporting and analytics requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with technical teams, internal partners, clients, and vendor partners to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
- SQL Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts with optimal performance.
- Data Engineering Experience: Experience planning and deploying logically separated data environments using ETL/ELT services including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
- BI Platform Knowledge: Experience providing thought leadership and presenting tool-agnostic semantic data layer enhancements related to BI technology platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners.
- Business Acumen: Minimum of 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- Leadership Skills: At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, or cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Travel Capability: Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes (both within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications

- Certification: Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) credential or equivalent data analytics certification.
