    Job Description:
  • Own and manage the client and firm investment reporting pipeline, ensuring quality/timely reports for cyclical and ad-hoc deliverables.
  • Develop and deploy advanced reporting deliverables leveraging functionality in Addepar (ImpactAssets’ investment management system), such as investment performance reporting, dashboards, templates, and custom views for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate representation of varied investment structures within reporting outputs.
  • Serve as the escalation point for standard and complex reporting, applying deep technical and analytical expertise to solve new and existing challenges.
  • Advise on investment reporting best practices and advanced use cases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their unique needs, to improve team efficiency and capability through reporting.
  • Develop service level agreements (SLAs) for the investment reporting function in collaboration with stakeholders, taking full ownership of stakeholder relationships by ensuring expectations mutually agreed, understood, and met.
  • Provide proactive, responsive support to stakeholders, maintaining a high standard of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Solicit and incorporate stakeholder feedback to enhance reporting processes, templates, and delivery methods.
  • Enhance and expand the front-office investment reporting portal, increasing functionality, analytical depth, and client adoption.
  • Build, test, and maintain reporting templates, attributes, and dashboards, with a focus on alternative asset data and complex portfolios.
  • Train colleagues on self-service reporting capabilities, promoting organizational efficiency and firm wide data fluency.
  • Drive initiatives to automate recurring processes, reducing manual intervention and error risk.
  • Design and implement reporting workflows that balance efficiency with quality control, especially in handling complex investment data.
  • Establish standards and best practices for data governance within reporting outputs.
  • Evaluate new reporting or changes to reporting that would generate value for stakeholders.
  • Serve as the back-up for operations systems administration.
  • Lead reporting-related workstreams within larger systems or data projects; as well as support system implementation & systems integration data needs.
  • Identify system gaps and collaborate with technology teams and vendors to design solutions that improve reporting accuracy and scalability.
    Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 years of overall experience, 5+ in investment reporting, data analytics, or investment operations, with direct exposure to alternative assets.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver reporting solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Addepar is required.
  • Experience with any of the following is highly desired: private investment funds, investment performance reporting, and/or donor advised funds.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple reporting cycles and ad-hoc requests, proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • In depth knowledge of alternative asset investment structures, their reporting complexities, and performance reporting methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inconsistencies in data, troubleshoot reporting discrepancies, and perform ad-hoc analysis to answer specific business questions.
  • Expertise with Addepar, including building reports, dashboards, and custom attributes.
  • Proficiency with Excel (required) and PowerBI (strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency with other Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, and Teams required.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a virtual team environment.
