Remote, USA Full-time Immediate Start

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Controller, the Senior Accounting Manager will play a central role in running day-to-day accounting operations and helping build the financial infrastructure of a fast-growing consumer brand. This is a role for someone who is equal parts strategic and tactical — comfortable owning the close one day and improving a process or system the next.

You'll work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional partners on reporting, margin improvement, operational efficiency, and compliance, while helping scale a function that can grow with the company.

What You’ll Do

  • Accounting and Reporting

    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

    • Oversee AP, AR, payroll, inventory accounting, and general ledger management.

    • Ensure the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet, including revenue recognition, accruals, and expense mapping.

    • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and analyses for key stakeholders.

    • Deliver timely, accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting with clear, actionable insights.

  • Systems and Process

    • Build scalable systems, workflows, and documentation to support a growing and increasingly complex business.

    • Leverage AI and emerging technology to build automated, efficient financial processes — from close to reporting to day-to-day operations.

    • Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing accounting workflows.

    • Partner with cross-functional teams (Operations, Retail, E-commerce, Wholesale) to ensure clean financial data across the business.

  • Compliance and Risk

    • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management protocols.

    • Manage audits, tax filings, and compliance reporting.

    • Serve as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and financial partners.

    • Support contract management, vendor terms, and compliance reporting (loans, leases, SBA, etc.).

What We’re Looking For.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.

  • A genuine enthusiasm for leveraging AI and technology to automate and modernize finance workflows.

  • Experience in retail, consumer products, or e-commerce (DTC and wholesale a plus).

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and financial controls.

  • Hands-on experience with Shopify required; Mirakl a plus.

  • Advanced Excel skills; strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with senior leaders across the business.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment — willing to roll up your sleeves.
