About Basil Clinical

Basil Clinical is a physician-led research organization that accelerates clinical trials through

operational excellence, high-volume inclusive recruitment, and data-driven precision. We

partner with leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies to conduct trials in Neurology,

Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, and Oncology. Our principal investigators are committed to both

scientific advancement and participant care, ensuring rigorous, transparent, and compassionate

studies. By focusing on diverse and underrepresented populations, we maintain the highest

standards of Good Clinical Practice and deliver reliable data and meaningful outcomes through

advanced recruitment strategies and centralized quality oversight.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Salesforce Developer/Admin to own and grow our Salesforce

environment from the inside. You’ll be our in-house expert —working closely with operations,

clinical, and leadership teams to build practical, scalable solutions that support our trial

workflows. This is a high-ownership role where your contributions will directly impact how we

run studies and serve patients.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and manage third-party API integrations to connect Salesforce with external

platforms and clinical systems, ensuring seamless data flow across the organization

  • Maintain data integrity across the Salesforce environment and build reports and

dashboards that enable leadership to measure project outcomes, track performance,

and identify areas for improvement

  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web

Components (LWC), and SOQL

  • Build and manage automations using Flows and other native Salesforce tools
  • Navigate and manage the Salesforce System Setup page — handling configuration,

permissions, profiles, roles, and org-wide settings

  • Perform object management: creating and maintaining custom objects, fields,

relationships, page layouts, and record types

  • Manage sandboxes, deployments, and release cycles
  • Partner with end users to gather requirements and turn them into clean, maintainable

Salesforce solutions

  • Maintain clear documentation of customizations, configurations, and data structures

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of Salesforce development experience
  • Strong proficiency in Apex coding, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL
  • Solid experience building Flows and automations within Salesforce
  • Comfortable working in the System Setup page — managing configuration, security

settings, and org administration

  • Hands-on experience with object management: custom objects, fields, relationships, and

layouts

  • Understanding of data security, access controls, and compliance best practices
  • Able to work independently and take ownership in a small, fast-moving team
  • Strong communicator who is able to work with both technical and non-technical

colleagues

Nice to Have

  • Experience in clinical research, healthcare, or life sciences
  • Understanding of clinical trial workflows (site management, recruitment, adverse event

tracking)

  • Familiarity with RingCentral, Twilio, or telephony/CTI integrations in Salesforce
  • Familiarity with Zapier and Make.com
  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Platform Developer I)

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
  • Direct access to leadership and a real voice in shaping our technology
  • Meaningful work at a mission-driven organization advancing clinical research for

underrepresented communities
