The VP Secondary Marketing – Loan Sales will provide strategic leadership for loan pooling and investor allocation, overseeing sales strategies to maximize profitability and ensure governance across the secondary marketing platform.
- Responsibilities
- Manage team members and all managerial responsibilities, including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, training, evaluating employee performance, and managing promotions, transfers, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action
- Establishes and continuously improves robust controls and governance for pooling, mandatory commitments, investor concentration, delivery tolerances, settlements, and loan sale profitability
- Leads daily and strategic oversight of commitment management, pair-off exposure, pool formation, and other drivers of execution quality, margin realization, and settlement discipline
- Coordinates and monitors loan sale activities between investor delivery and accounting
- Leads daily and strategic oversight of pipeline coverage, fallout, and pull-through assumptions, pair-off exposure, basis risk, lock and extension behavior, and other drivers of hedge effectiveness and margin preservation
- Establishes and continuously improves operational processes, assumption management, controls, best execution, and secondary marketing analytics
- Develops and implements strategic initiatives and projects, including Secondary Market product development
- Conducts loan sales, including servicing retained, servicing released, correspondent investor AOT/DTs, correspondent bulk, Agency whole loan cash sales, issuing Fannie, Freddie, and Ginnie securities, co-issue transactions, and specified pools
- Conducts best execution analysis and optimization to maximize profitability
- Coordinates and monitors loan sale activities between investor delivery and accounting
- Configures Secondary Marketing systems, including investor pricing, valuations, and risk adjustments
- Demonstrates success in mortgage pricing, pull-through analytics, hedge performance management, and best execution analysis
- Leads sophisticated pooling strategy, including specified pool eligibility, story loan identification, note rate and coupon optimization, collateral segmentation, and execution tactics designed to enhance sale proceeds and investor demand
