What You'll Do

As a Transportation Data Analyst at arenaflex, you will be responsible for turning raw data into meaningful insights that directly influence business decisions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Data Analysis and Insights: Work with large, complex, and disparate datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses that inform critical business decisions. You will create ETL processes and methodologies that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it into unified, accessible formats.


• Visualization Development: Design and build impactful Tableau dashboards with a strong focus on user experience. Your visualizations will quantify the effects of operational changes and highlight key business challenges for stakeholders across the organization.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage regularly with team members and cross-functional groups to establish credibility and trust. You will analyze stakeholder needs and partner with them to deliver relevant information, including working closely with Operations, Finance, and Product teams to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across multiple systems.


• Process Automation: Leverage scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate repetitive reporting tasks, including screenshot generation, metrics prioritization, and outlier detection. Your automation efforts will improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.


• Knowledge Sharing: Document your processes and share your expertise with your colleagues. As you develop subject matter expertise, you will mentor peers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Data Visualization Skills (1-2 years): Creativity with a User Experience foundation to develop impactful Tableau dashboards. You should understand how to present data in ways that are intuitive, visually appealing, and actionable for end users.


• Business Operations Acumen: Fluency in business operations with the ability to understand and root cause complex business problems. A background in Supply Chain is highly desirable, with preference given to candidates who have transportation or logistics experience.


• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to work cross-functionally. You must be able to translate technical findings into business-friendly language and present insights to stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, including dashboard design and optimization


• Experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations
