Remote Senior Instructional Designer - E-Learning Specialist

Our client is a leading educational technology firm seeking a creative and experienced Remote Senior Instructional Designer to develop engaging and effective e-learning courses. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of course development, from needs analysis and curriculum design to content creation, multimedia integration, and final evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of adult learning principles, mastery of authoring tools, and a proven ability to translate complex subject matter into accessible and interactive learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop engaging online courses for diverse audiences, incorporating best practices in instructional design and adult learning theory. Create compelling learning content, including scripts, storyboards, interactive exercises, assessments, and multimedia elements. Utilize industry-standard e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems (LMS). Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevance. Develop engaging multimedia assets such as graphics, animations, and videos to enhance learning. Design and implement effective assessments to measure learning outcomes. Conduct needs analyses and learning audits to identify knowledge gaps and training requirements. Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in e-learning and instructional design. Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers and other team members. Qualifications: Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful e-learning projects. Expert proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360, Adobe Captivate). Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and deployment. Strong understanding of learning theories, curriculum development, and assessment design. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly. Proficiency in graphic design principles and experience with multimedia tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. Proven ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills for working effectively with remote teams and SMEs.
