Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, product managers, and leadership, to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights.

This position requires a self-starter with strong technical expertise in data engineering, cloud platforms, and database technologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering complex data projects, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Design and Build Data Infrastructure: Architect and develop scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements. You'll work with large, complex datasets and ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility.

  • ETL Development: Build and maintain ETL processes using AWS and SQL technologies to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse. You'll optimize these processes for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Process Optimization: Identify, plan, and implement internal process improvements, including redesigning systems for greater flexibility, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes to improve efficiency.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Develop analytical tools and dashboards that provide meaningful insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, designers, product managers, and executive teams to understand their data needs and provide technical solutions. You'll serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on data-related technical issues.

  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to deliver effective data solutions and experiences. You'll assist in negotiating agreements and ensuring vendor deliverables meet our standards.

  • Technical Leadership: Lead and provide expertise to functional project teams, participate in cross-functional initiatives, and mentor junior team members. You'll help establish best practices and standards for data engineering across the organization.

  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Use independent judgment within defined policies and procedures to determine the best approach for achieving work objectives. You'll identify complex issues, analyze related information, and develop effective solutions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends. Recommend new tools, techniques, and processes to enhance our data capabilities.

  • Other Duties: Perform other job-related responsibilities as directed by your supervisor or management team.

To be successful in this role, you must have:
