In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers with tax preparation – You'll help customers navigate the tax preparation process, answer their tax-related questions, and ensure they have the information they need to file accurately and confidently.

  • Documenting and tracking customer interactions – You'll maintain detailed records of all customer communications, ensuring information is accurately captured and easily retrievable in our databases.

  • Identifying and offering additional products and services – You'll proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer experience by introducing relevant products or services that meet their needs.

  • Delivering expert customer experiences – You'll represent aren'tax with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression on our customers.

  • Utilizing multiple communication channels – You'll handle customer inquiries through various channels including phone, email, chat, and web-based platforms.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Location requirement: Must reside within 50 miles of Jackson, Mississippi or Montgomery, Alabama (we are currently hiring exclusively in these geographic areas).
  • Recent tax experience – Hands-on experience with tax preparation, whether through previous employment, formal education, or personal expertise.
  • Customer service background: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service role, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Home office setup: A quiet, distraction-free environment in your home dedicated to professional work.
  • Technical proficiency: Strong computer navigation skills and solid PC knowledge, including familiarity with common software applications.
  • Multi-tasking ability: Proficiency in fast-paced multi-tasking while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Learning agility: Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving processes.
  • Equipment requirements: A desktop or laptop computer capable of running necessary software for PC and internet testing during the application process.
  • Internet connectivity: High-speed internet connection (wireless hotspots and satellite internet are not acceptable) and a smartphone for communication purposes.

  • Previous experience in tax preparation services or accounting-related roles
