Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Huron Law Group PLLC is seeking a Remote Paralegal to oversee the life cycle of Full-Service lawsuits. The role involves reviewing and drafting legal documents, coordinating communications, and managing case-related activities to ensure efficient litigation processes.


Responsibilities

  • Critically review legal documents, including Summons & Complaints, Appearance forms, Discovery, and Settlement Agreements
  • Prepare legal documents in accordance with company, local, and state guidelines
  • File documents, adhering to court-specific rules using efiling, email, or mailing methods
  • Update CRM software with all relevant case information
  • Coordinate calendars for hearings
  • Coordinate offer settlements
  • Maintain all case updates, communications, and oversight
  • Communicate in a professional and pleasant manner to maintain positive relationships across all partnerships
  • Assist with settlement approvals and ensure all communications are sent to the appropriate parties
  • Coordinate preparations for hearings or other court appearances between the Huron Law Group Network attorney and an Appearance Attorney
  • Timely and effective follow-through on all matters regarding assigned cases

Skills

  • Paralegal certification, similar legal services degree, OR 1-2 years of paralegal experience
  • Proactive in finding solutions while also using discernment when a supervisor needs looped-in
  • Pattern of meeting or exceeding minimum productivity requirements
  • Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Demonstrates ownership of work and maintains excellent quality standards
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in written format at a high level
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Word and Outlook and general knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel
  • Experience Efiling in multiple jurisdictions
  • Familiarity with navigating court websites and court records searches
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving practices
  • Familiarity with reading court documents and drafting documents for court submissions
  • Work with a high volume of documents daily and maintain digital organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team and multi-task on time-sensitive projects
  • Familiarity with case management software and navigating multiple screens
  • Effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to attorneys, courts, and other employees of the organization
