    Job Summary
  • Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our growing remote team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR policy implementation. This is a full-time, remote position offering the flexibility to work from home while being an integral part of a forward-thinking, people-first organization.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • * Support the full recruitment cycle: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • * Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers.
  • * Maintain and update employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • * Handle employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • * Coordinate performance management processes and assist with performance reviews.
  • * Assist with the development, implementation, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
  • * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • * Maintain HR metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
  • * Organize training sessions and workshops to enhance employee engagement and development.
  • * Partner with leadership on employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • * Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • * Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance.
  • * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • * High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • * Proficiency in HR software and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • * Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Experience
  • * Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar HR role.
  • * Experience in remote or distributed work environments is preferred.
  • * Proven experience in handling sensitive employee matters and managing HR processes end-to-end.
  • Working Hours
  • * Full-time position: 40 hours per week.
  • * Monday to Friday, flexible working hours with availability during core business hours (9 AM – 5 PM CST).
  • * 100% remote – work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • * In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR compliance standards.
  • * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • * Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
