- This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on high-quality history and political science assessment development, multiple-choice question writing, academic content verification, reference solution review, and rigorous reasoning evaluation. Selected professionals will apply their subject-matter expertise to author, review, and validate challenging assessment materials across core history and political science domains.Key ResponsibilitiesProfessionals in this role may contribute to:History & Political Science Question Authoring
- Create original, challenging multiple-choice questions across history, political science, international relations, government, and related social science domains
- Design questions that test deep conceptual understanding, historical reasoning, comparative analysis, and political interpretation
- Ensure each question is precise, self-contained, unambiguous, and answerable based on the information provided
- Develop plausible answer choices that challenge advanced learners and expert reviewers
- Reasoning, Solution Writing & Difficulty Calibration
- Write clear, step-by-step reference solutions in structured markdown format
- Rate question difficulty across levels such as introductory undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, or postgraduate-level expertise
- Provide academic references from reputable sources such as peer-reviewed publications, university materials, or recognized scholarly resources
- Ensure solutions are accurate, concise, logically sound, and aligned with the intended historical or political science concept Question Verification & Academic Review
- Review pre-written questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability
- Flag issues involving ambiguity, missing context, weak distractors, unclear wording, or incorrect answer logic
- Edit questions where needed and document the rationale for changes
- Maintain high standards for conceptual precision, academic quality, and assessment reliability Ideal ProfileStrong candidates may have:
- Advanced expertise in history, political science, international relations, public policy, government, security studies, archaeology, or related fields
- Strong command of historiographical methods, political theory, comparative politics, international relations, and evidence-based analysis
- Experience authoring, reviewing, teaching, grading, or verifying academic assessment content
- Ability to express complex historical and political ideas clearly and concisely in written English
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle reasoning, factual, or conceptual issues
