[Remote] Flex Loan Specialist - Kansas City Area

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Veterans United Home Loans is dedicated to helping Veterans and military families become homeowners. As a Flex Loan Specialist, you will guide borrowers through the VA loan process, ensuring they understand their options and feel supported throughout their homebuying journey.

Responsibilities

• Connecting with borrowers, learning about their goals, and guiding conversations that help them confidently move forward with the right VA loan option
• Reviewing credit and financial information to thoughtfully match borrowers with solutions that fit their needs and set them up for success
• Walking borrowers through each step of the loan process—setting clear expectations, answering questions, and helping secure strong rates and terms
• Staying organized and proactive in managing your pipeline so each borrower receives timely follow-up and a smooth experience
• Collaborating closely with teammates and cross-functional partners to keep things moving and deliver a positive, seamless borrower experience

Skills

• NMLS licensed (can be obtained when starting)
• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work outside of normal business hours
• Ability to work at least 32 weekend hours per month
• Ability to work 2 nights a week until 10PM
• Mortgage experience
