Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Edkey is hiring a Data Analyst for a 100% remote, temp-to-hire opportunity focused on reporting and analytics delivery. The role involves end-to-end report delivery, operational support, data validation, and process improvement, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Support secure, accurate, and timely report delivery for internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain delivery calendars and integrated delivery plans across cross-functional teams
  • Monitor workflow health, identify and escalate risks, and contribute to mitigation plans
  • Validate outputs and perform quality checks to ensure reporting reliability
  • Troubleshoot data and reporting issues; identify root causes and drive resolution
  • Fulfill ad hoc data and reporting requests and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders
  • Review business/technical requirements and provide input to data design and reporting logic
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and operational improvement opportunities
  • Research and test tools/automation to improve scalability and efficiency; contribute to standardizing workflows
  • Collaborate using version control and shared development workflows

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or software/data-related roles (internships and projects count)
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data
  • Practical experience with Python for data analysis and scripting
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or similar)
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation / quality checks
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences
  • Prior experience with automated reporting pipelines or scheduling/delivery tools
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, or working in regulated industries
  • Additional visualization or BI tools (Looker, Power BI)
  • Experience improving operational processes or implementing automation
