• Conduct research using credible sources, data and expert insights to ensure accuracy and authority
• Follow USA TODAY editorial guidelines, commerce standards and disclosure requirements
• Collaborate with editors to revise and optimize content for clarity, accuracy and search performance
• Update existing content as needed to maintain accuracy and relevance
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced digital newsroom environment

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience writing about personal finance, consumer services or small-business topics
• Ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, approachable way
• Familiarity with SEO-driven service journalism and digital publishing best practices
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Experience working in a newsroom, digital media organization or commerce content environment
