In This Role
In this role, you will support end-to-end release management and governance for catalog-based offerings, ensuring releases are delivered on time, with quality, and in alignment with defined processes. You will act as a central coordinator across engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, driving visibility, accountability, and execution throughout the release lifecycle. This includes managing Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows, validating release readiness, tracking progress and risks, and enabling standardized processes and reporting across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Release Management & Execution
Support the full release lifecycle (intake → validation → release → post-release tracking)
Validate release requests, including dependencies, readiness, and required inputs prior to submission
Coordinate timelines, milestones, and deliverables across stakeholders
Track release status, risks, and blockers and drive resolution to ensure on-time delivery
ADO Governance & Workflow Management
Define and maintain Azure DevOps (ADO) structures, work items, and tracking frameworks
Ensure ADO remains the single source of truth for release tracking and reporting
Create and manage:
Features, Product Backlog Items (PBIs), and task hierarchies
Iteration paths and delivery timelines
Change request tracking and backlog prioritization
Govern ADO usage to prevent duplication, data gaps, and misalignment across teams
Process Improvement & Standardization
Identify and implement improvements across release workflows
Drive standardization of:
Catalog release processes
Asset updates and go-to-market workflows
ADO fields, templates, and tracking models
Perform gap analysis across systems and resolve inconsistencies
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as the central point of coordination across business, engineering, and operations teams
Facilitate sync meetings, release readiness reviews, and governance checkpoints
Ensure stakeholders meet milestones and provide required inputs on time
Reporting, Dashboarding & Insights
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting views for:
Active releases
Change requests
Portfolio health and timelines
Provide leadership updates and insights using ADO data
Communication & Change Management
Manage release communication cadence (e.g., updates, newsletters, briefings)
Communicate timelines, release freezes, and key milestones clearly across stakeholders
Support change communications for new or retired offerings
Operational Support
Support asset updates, submissions, and validations across internal systems
Ensure completeness and accuracy of release artifacts (e.g., documentation, asset lists)
Provide ad-hoc support for urgent release activities and changes
Required Qualifications
Azure DevOps (ADO) Expertise (3+ years)
Work item management (Features, PBIs, Tasks)
Backlog management and iteration planning
Reporting and dashboard creation
Release / Program Management Experience (5+ years)
Experience managing structured release or delivery lifecycles
Familiarity with intake, validation, execution, and release processes
Process & Workflow Governance (3+ years)
Experience designing and managing workflows in structured environments
Ability to enforce governance and standardization
Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage dependencies, risks, and timelines independently
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in Release Management, Program Management, or Technical Project Management
Experience working in highly structured, process-driven environments
Proven ability to operate with minimal supervision and drive execution proactively
Experience coordinating across engineering, business, and operations teams
Familiarity with lifecycle-based portfolio or catalog management processes
Experience performing system/data gap analysis and driving improvements
Strong communication skills, including executive-level reporting and stakeholder updates
Compensation Information
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $100,000-$110,000 USD/annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
