Reinsurance Specialist

Guy Carpenter is a business of Marsh, a global leader in risk, reinsurance and capital. The Reinsurance Specialist will manage an assigned client portfolio, ensuring timely follow-up and premium collection, while collaborating with departments to support collections and fund settlements.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned client portfolio, including timely follow-up, accurate system entry of client activity, and securing reinsurance premiums
• Collaborate with other departments to support collection efforts and cash application processes as needed
• Oversee timely settlement of funds to and from clients, ensuring compliance with all payment warranties and conditions
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Provide detailed client-specific accounting and claims information to support sales opportunities
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Clients, and Markets by understanding their needs and resolving issues effectively; actively participate in team meetings to share knowledge and contribute to outcomes

Skills

• 1+ years of experience in reinsurance, insurance, accounting, or claims
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or risk management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload effectively
• Demonstrated teamwork skills with a positive attitude
• Proactive in offering and implementing ideas to improve processes in a dynamic environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
• Consistently promoting and enhancing the Guy Carpenter brand
• 4+ years' of experience in risk management
