Role: Quality Assurance Intern
Our Quality Assurance team is part of our Engineering organization and leverages Lean Manufacturing principles and Agile development disciplines to ensure all facets of quality throughout our Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by completing quality engineering reviews throughout each individual stage of the software manufacturing process.
The Quality Assurance Intern will perform the following functions:
Foundational skills in software testing practices and quality processes
Assists in executing test cases, documenting defects, and supporting test preparation activities with guidance from experienced QA team members
Participates in small to medium-sized projects as a team contributor to gain exposure to different applications, tools, and testing methodologies
Builds general knowledge of quality assurance concepts, business workflows, and system behavior through hands-on learning and mentorship
Works under close supervision with clearly defined tasks and objectives, following established QA standards and procedures
Collaborates with developers, business analysts, and senior QA staff to support overall product quality
Does not have leadership or coaching responsibilities
As an intern, you will learn how to effectively leverage the following practices for improving the quality of our products:
Value Quality – validating that the value intended by the product will be experienced by the customer
Just-in-Time Development – ensuring that only the critical item is being developed
Kanban – monitoring our signaling system to ensure no disruptions in our development flow and process
Code Assembly / Unit Testing – verifying and validating products work as intended and recording analysis on what needs to improve in the code development process
Data Analysis – collect and analyze data from test outputs to ensure production quality meets specific standards
Visio/Lucid Design Documentation – create and/or revise design documentation to ensure an accurate workflow is represented
Qualifications: We are looking for engineering students with the ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, who have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of engineers and product designers in a team structure.

Internship Duration: 10 – 15 weeks
Compensation: Salary range for this position is $25 an hour for undergraduate students and $30 an hour for graduate students.

The estimated base salary range for this role is USD$22.50 - USD$27.50 per hour.
