The Purchases & Sales Analyst role involves processing and validating equity trading activities, ensuring accurate trade bookings, and reconciling discrepancies while monitoring settlement cycles and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Processing and validating all equity trading activity at the firm
- Ensure accurate booking of trades in internal systems
- Reconcile trade discrepancies between internal records, counterparties and clearing firms
- Monitor trade settlement cycles and resolve settlement breaks
- Coordinate with front office and other operations teams to correct trade issues
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Skills
- 1+ years of experience in Financial Services either full time or internship
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field
- Series 99 Operations professional desired
- Strong due diligence to ensure accuracy of work
- Problem solving capabilities with the ability to think and act quickly
- Strong and effective communication skills
- Strong initiative to resolve issues, ask questions and identify what needs to be done
- Capable of researching exception items and developing paths for corrective action
