Nordstrom is a leading fashion retailer that creates cutting-edge fashion and accessories through its talented design team. They are seeking a Production Planner to manage purchase order data, monitor work in progress activities, and ensure timely delivery of garments while coordinating with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Manage issuing and maintaining purchase order data from commitment to shipment, ensuring PO accurately reflects multiple business channel requirements
- Research and adjust purchase orders to meet business needs
- Monitor all Work in Progress (WIP) activities from order placement to shipment
- Manage calendar milestones for the category supported
- Track final garments for on-time delivery, manage exceptions and issue resolution
- Coordinate the management of the RTV, claims and disposition process
- Partner with compliance and/or logistics to ensure manufacturer adheres to corporate compliance policy
- Partner with accounts payable to research and reconcile purchase order and invoice cost discrepancies
- Maintain raw material liabilities and utilization
Skills
- BS or BA degree or equivalent work experience in related field
- 1+ year of experience in high-volume retail purchase order management
- Demonstrated strong problem solving and negotiating skills
- Proficiency in Excel
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Knowledge of an Oracle or SAP system
- Experience with complex vendor management
