About the Role

We're looking for a licensed physician to take on a remote, documentation-focused role supporting a busy medical practice. The attending physician sees patients and they need a fellow doctor who can handle the heavy lifting of pre-charting, chart review, and visit documentation so they can stay focused on patient care.

This is not a clinical practice role. You won't be diagnosing, treating, or making independent medical decisions. Think of it as high-level medical administration that requires a physician's eye—someone who knows what to look for, knows what matters, and can turn a full medical history into a clean, concise summary without missing a thing.

Only licensed physicians (MD/DO) with a background in General Practice or Gastroenterology will be considered for this role.

Core Responsibilities

Pre-Charting and Chart Review

Review incoming patient records ahead of appointments, including medical history, prior visit notes, lab results, imaging, and procedure documentation.

Prepare thorough pre-visit summaries that give the physician a clear picture of the patient before they walk in the door.

Flag anything in the patient's history that warrants the physician's attention.

Medical Documentation and Scribing

Transcribe and document physicians' notes accurately and in accordance with the physicians' preferred styles and formats.

Organize and maintain complete, well-structured patient charts that meet accuracy, completeness, and compliance standards.

Summary Preparation

Synthesize complex medical histories, test results, and specialist notes into clear, concise summaries for the physician.

Support chart preparation for follow-up visits, referrals, and procedure reviews across a high volume of patient files.

Candidate Qualifications

Must-Haves

Active medical license as an MD/DO with a background in General Practice or Gastroenterology.

3 to 5 years of clinical experience post-residency.

Ability to process and synthesize large volumes of medical information quickly and accurately.

Strong written English communication skills.

Ability to independently follow structured documentation workflows.

Good to Haves

Experience working in high-volume outpatient or clinical settings.

Familiarity with EHR/EMR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or similar systems.

Background in remote or asynchronous medical documentation roles.
