About Numa

Numa is building the platform to power AI-native dealerships, rearchitecting automotive service and sales with advanced AI agents that automate customer interactions, streamline operations, and reimagine how dealerships work. Numa integrates AI into every aspect of dealership functions—from rescuing customer calls and voicemails that generate more revenue, to reducing customer resolution times that drive overall customer satisfaction (CSI), to improving dealership team productivity and accountability. Numa has raised $50 million from leading investors (Google, Threshold, Costanoa, Mitsui, and Touring Capital).

The Role

We’re looking for a Performance Architect to join our team and serve as a strategic, consultative partner to the dealerships we serve. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to dealership leadership, connecting Numa’s platform to each customer’s core business goals and translating performance data into measurable outcomes, retention, and expansion.

This role sits at the intersection of multiple teams—including Customer Success, Product, and Sales—and acts as a key “connector” between the dealership and Numa. Success in this role requires someone who deeply understands dealership operations, can lead executive-level conversations with credibility, and can tie a software platform to operational KPIs and business priorities.

The ideal candidate is a former General Manager, Fixed Operations Director, or similar dealership leader who knows what it takes to run a profitable, high-performing service department. You take initiative, build trust quickly, and are comfortable owning executive relationships and driving forward-looking action plans without heavy direction.

What You’ll Do

Build strategic partnerships with dealership GMs and leadership teams, earning trust through insight, credibility, and results

Tie Numa’s platform to business goals such as profit, team productivity, and customer satisfaction (CSI)

Lead executive Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that align teams and create forward-looking action plans

Deliver dealership-specific performance insights that are actionable, impactful, and aligned with local priorities

Create and manage 90-day engagement plans that drive measurable outcomes

Guide strategic reviews and tailor action plans based on real-time performance metrics and dealership priorities

Elevate Numa from a vendor to a strategic partner that leadership relies on for results

Partner cross-functionally with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to shape tools, playbooks, and best practices that elevate client success

Travel onsite to dealerships as needed to deepen relationships and drive engagement

What You Bring

Deep experience in automotive, including time on both the dealer and vendor side

Experience as a former General Manager, Fixed Operations Director, or similar leadership role within a dealership

Proven ability to run and grow a service department, including driving profitability and customer satisfaction

Confidence working with executive stakeholders and leading data-driven performance conversations

Strong ability to connect software solutions to operational KPIs and business goals

Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter, taking ownership of relationships and outcomes end-to-end and proactively driving results with minimal supervision

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align both frontline and executive audiences

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment

A collaborative mindset and passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and measurable business impact

Nice To Have

Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment, with comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments

Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and service operations workflows

Experience with data analysis, performance reporting, or business intelligence tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau, or Microsoft Power BI

Familiarity with AI tools and effective prompt engineering for research, analysis, or workflow optimization

What Success Looks Like

Drive measurable improvements in dealership performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction (CSI)

Build trusted, executive-level relationships with dealership GMs and leadership teams

Lead high-impact QBRs and 90-day engagement plans that translate into retention and expansion

Consistently demonstrate a proactive, self-directed approach to identifying and solving business problems

Position Numa as an indispensable strategic partner rather than a vendor
