Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure efficient pharmacy operations and excellent patient care. Your primary duties will include:
Patient Enrollment and Data Entry
- Process new patient enrollment by accurately entering patient information into our secure pharmacy systems using arenaflex prescription data entry methods and guidelines.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA regulations, ensuring all data is entered correctly and confidentially.
- Process refill orders for timely pharmacy processing and patient satisfaction.
- Investigate and obtain missing prescription information to ensure complete and accurate patient records.
- Interpret clinical abbreviations and SIG codes to accurately translate prescription instructions.
- Resolve all data entry-related exceptions promptly and accurately.
Patient Communication
- Handle inbound calls, chats, and messages from patients, providing friendly and professional assistance.
- Make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as needed to resolve issues, clarify information, or follow up on requests.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms to ensure clear understanding and resolution of patient inquiries.
- Maintain a positive and empathetic attitude when dealing with patients, especially during challenging situations.
Third-Party Claims Resolution
- Resolve third-party insurance rejections and oddballs by conducting thorough research and gathering necessary information.
- Make amendments and resubmit claims for processing according to individual plan requirements.
- Make phone calls to insurance plans and other parties to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve third-party issues.
- Document all actions taken and outcomes achieved in the appropriate tracking systems.
Pharmacy Support
- Provide assistance to pharmacists, both those in your assigned department and those at other locations.
- Identify and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate, ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and maintain high service standards.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines at all times.
Compliance and Licensing
- Obtain an active pharmacy technician license or certification within the first 90 days of employment, as required by state regulations.
- Maintain an active pharmacy technician license or certification throughout employment.
- Comply with all state and government guidelines related to information collection and patient enrollment.
- Follow organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality assurance.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- Computer Skills: Basic level proficiency with computers, including the ability to start up and shut down computers, use a mouse, start and close programs, switch between applications, save documents, print documents, and access information online.
- Internet Skills: Basic web browser proficiency, including opening a browser, typing URLs correctly, using search engines, bookmarking websites, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing online forms.
