Position Overview
arenaflex is currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Data Entry Claims Intake Processor to join our growing healthcare services team. In this role, you'll be the frontline guardian of accurate claims data, responsible for inputting insurance claims and authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers into our systems with speed and precision.
This is a part-time position requiring 34 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible work hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM Central Standard Time. The position can be fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while maintaining the structure and support you need to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing for arenaflex
As a Claims Intake Processor at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of healthcare claims and authorizations. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately enter data from insurance claims and authorization requests into our systems, meeting or exceeding client turnaround times while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy.
Every day, you'll navigate through our advanced imaging software to retrieve claims and authorization documents, carefully reviewing each submission to ensure proper handling. You'll differentiate between various claim types—including medical claims, dental claims, vision claims, and specialty authorizations—and apply the appropriate data entry guidelines for each.
Your keen eye for detail will be essential as you identify specific document types that require special handling, such as urgent authorizations, complex medical procedures, or claims with incomplete information. You'll work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all work is completed according to designated turnaround times, supporting the overall efficiency of our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry Excellence: Accurately enter data from insurance claims and authorization requests submitted by healthcare providers into our database systems with speed and efficiency.
- Document Processing: Navigate efficiently through imaging software to retrieve, review, and process claims and authorization documents.
- Claim Differentiation: Identify and differentiate between different claim types (medical, dental, vision, etc.) and follow the appropriate data entry guidelines for each.
- Special Handling Identification: Accurately identify specific document types that require special handling, escalation, or expedited processing.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times and quality standards.
- Workflow Support: Support additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality reviews of other team members' claims and authorizations according to established data entry guidelines and quality standards.
- Issue Identification: Alert management promptly upon identification of discrepancies, potential issues, or areas requiring attention.

- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to catch errors and inconsistencies.
- Accuracy: A high degree of accuracy is essential for success in this role.
Assessment Requirements
Candidates selected for further consideration will be required to complete an online alphanumeric data entry assessment. The minimum requirement for this position is 8,200 keystrokes per hour (KSPH) with a 98% accuracy rate. These standards ensure that our team maintains the precision our clients expect and deserve.
