What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Chat Specialist at arenaflex, you'll be the frontline ambassador for our dealer clients, handling real-time conversations with potential car buyers and service customers. Your primary objective is to provide exceptional online support while identifying opportunities to schedule appointments and capture leads. Here's what your daily responsibilities will look like:
- Engage in Live Chat Conversations: Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries about new and used vehicle sales, financing options, service department offerings, and general dealership questions. You'll handle a wide variety of questions ranging from vehicle specifications to trade-in values.
- Provide Accurate Product Information: Utilize your growing knowledge base to answer questions about automotive features, pricing, availability, and incentives. You'll become an expert in communicating complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Schedule Appointments: Guide customers through the booking process by collecting necessary information and coordinating with dealership schedules. You'll help convert interested buyers into scheduled appointments.
- Lead Generation & Data Capture: Collect and verify customer contact information, vehicle preferences, and buying timelines. Your efforts will directly contribute to dealer revenue generation.
- Knowledge Development: Continuously learn about evolving automotive products, services, promotions, and dealership processes. Stay updated on industry trends and new vehicle releases.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately summarize customer interactions, needs, and follow-up requirements for dealer client review. Maintain detailed records in our CRM system.
- Multi-Tasking Excellence: Manage multiple concurrent chat conversations while maintaining quality and professionalism in each interaction.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Typing Speed: Minimum 35 words per minute (WPM); 40+ WPM preferred. Since you'll be communicating primarily through text, fast and accurate typing is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and enthusiastically. Strong verbal communication abilities also required.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with basic internet navigation, Windows-based computer applications, and multiple browser tabs/windows.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a quick-paced, ever-changing environment. You must be comfortable with evolving processes, new technologies, and shifting priorities.
- Professional Demeanor: Positive attitude, patience, and the ability to represent dealer clients favorably in every interaction.
- Availability: Must be able to commit to 5-hour time blocks daily after completing training and attend 4 weeks of training (Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM CST).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail customer service, call center, or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with the automotive industry (car dealership experience is a plus but not required)
- Gaming experience – this demonstrates strong multitasking abilities and quick reaction times
- Experience with CRM systems or chat platforms
- Understanding of lead generation best practices
- Previous experience in inside sales or customer acquisition roles
