Oracle HCM Developer
Posted 2026-05-06We are seeking a Oracle HCM Developer to support the ongoing development, configuration and support of our Oracle HCM Cloud platform. The role ideal for someone looking to build their Oracle HCM career, gaining hands-on experience across Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruitment, Absence and Reporting within a complex enterprise environment.
The Oracle HCM Developer will work closely with the senior HCM developer and functional stakeholders to deliver system changes, reporting, data loads, and BAU support, whilst developing their technical and functional skillset.

Responsibilities
- HCM System Configuration and Support:
- Support the configuration and maintenance of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including Core HR, Payroll, Recruitment, Talent, and Absence Management.
- Assist with implementing system changes, following agreed design and change processes.
- Support testing activities (unit testing, regression testing) and document outcomes.
- Reporting and Data:
- Assist in developing and maintaining reports using OTBI and BI Publisher.
- Support building and maintaining SQL-based data models
- Help investigate reporting discrepancies and data issues raised by stakeholders
Data Loads and Integrations: - Support data uploads using HCM Data Loader (HDL) and HCM Spreadsheet Data Loader (HSDL)
- Assist with preparing, validating and troubleshooting data load files
- Support integration monitoring and issue investigation, escalating complex issues where required.
Payroll and Absence: - Assist with Payroll and Absence-related activities, including validation, reconciliation support and issue investigation.
- Support analysis of payroll errors and absence processing issues
User Support and BAU - Act as an escalation point for the HR System Support Team for BAU tickets and Service Requests.
- Assist in diagnosing system issues and applying fixes, or escalating appropriately.
- Support end users with system queries and basic troubleshooting.
Learning and Development - Build understanding of Oracle HCM architecture, data structures and best practice.
- Develop skills in Fast Formula, reporting and configuration.
- Actively participate in training, knowledge sharing sessions, and documentation activities.
Qualifications
Essential
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud.
• Proficiency in configuring one or more of the following HCM Modules: Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, Absence Management, Talent Management, and Recruitment.
• Experience using OTBI and BI Publisher for reporting.
• Experience using data loading tools (HDL and HSDL).
• SQL knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Knowledge of Oracle's Redwood design principles and their application in enhancing user interfaces. This includes experience of Visual Builder, and how to commit changes within the application.
• Continuous Learning and Adaptability: A commitment to staying updated with the latest Oracle Fusion features and best practices demonstrates dedication to professional growth
• Experience and knowledge of UK Payroll legislation
Desirable
• Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organisations, preferably within the Construction industry
• Knowledge of integration tools and methodologies for connecting Oracle HCM with other systems.
• Experience in configuring or amending fast formulas within Oracle HCM.
• Experience using change management/ticket-based support systems (JIRA, ServiceNow, ServiceDesk+).
