This remote role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in US government departments, public-sector agencies, policy research, or government-adjacent organisations who are interested in flexible, project-based work.
You will play a key role in supporting policy-focused research initiatives and building a network of senior subject-matter experts with US government and regulatory experience, while coordinating short-term consulting and research projects.
- Key Responsibilities
- Conduct policy research and prepare summaries, briefing notes, and background documents
- Identify, evaluate, and organise profiles of US-based subject-matter experts, particularly those with federal, state, or regulatory experience
- Source and manage experts with backgrounds in government, public policy, or regulatory affairs
- Coordinate short-term research and consultation projects across time zones
- Maintain clear communication regarding timelines, deliverables, and project updates
- Support light research, documentation, and information management tasks
- Maintain accurate and organised records of experts, projects, and policy topics
Ideal Candidate
- We are particularly interested in candidates with professional experience in:
- US federal, state, or local government departments or agencies
- Public-sector or government-affiliated organisations
- Policy institutes, think tanks, or academic research units
- Regulatory bodies, trade associations, or political offices
- International development, global affairs, or economic policy
