Network Engineer

  • Contribute to the
    design phase of network projects, i
    mplement design specifications under guidance and collaborate with senior team members on architecture plans, participate in design reviews and feedback sessions and document design
    decisions and configurations.
      

  • Execute routine
    network configurations under supervision, follow established
    procedures for device setup, assist
    in troubleshooting configuration-related issues and document
    configuration changes accurately.
     

  • Monitor and report
    security incidents to higher-level team members, implement security
    configurations following established guidelines, participate in security
    audits and assessments and collaborate in the
    development of security documentation.
     

  • Assist in identifying performance bottlenecks, follow prescribed
    procedures to optimize network performance, provide input on
    performance improvement initiatives, collaborate with team
    members on performance testing and document performance
    enhancement procedures.
     

  • Identify and report network faults promptly, collaborate with team
    members to troubleshoot and resolve issues, adhere to
    troubleshooting procedures and guidelines, participate in training
    programs to enhance troubleshooting skills and contribute to
    documentation of troubleshooting processes.
     

  • Monitor network
    performance using specified tools, provide initial
    analysis of monitoring data, assist
    in responding to alerts and alarms and contribute to reports
    on network analytics.

  • Contribute to
    scalability assessments, assist
    in planning for future network capacity, collaborate in the
    implementation of scalability measures and document changes
    related to scalability efforts.

  • Contribute to the
    creation and updating of network documentation, participate in
    regular documentation reviews, ensure accuracy and
    completeness of assigned documentation and seek feedback from team
    members on documentation quality.
     

  • Assist in disaster recovery planning, assist in testing and validating recovery procedures, contribute to the
    development of recovery documentation.
     

  • Follow disaster
    response protocols and provide support during
    incidents.
     

  • Adhere to established compliance policies and procedures, assist in compliance assessments and audits, participate in the
    implementation of compliance measures and seek guidance on
    compliance-related queries.


Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced start-up organization.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Competence: Azure, AWS, VMWare, Windows, Linux, Hybrid Architecture 
  • Network Infrastructure Competence: Cisco, Fortigate. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the Fintech industry will be a plus.
