About the position
Responsible for transcribing/editing top quality radiologic reports in a timely manner.
- Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe/edit reports in Nuance PowerScribe One in a timely manner.
- Work with radiologists and/or clinic staff on transcription issues.
- Problem solving-ie, if the rad dictates one thing but it doesn't match the information, find out what was actually read.
- Incorporate company values into daily interactions with internal and external customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requirements
- H.S Degree or equivalent required.
- 2 - 3 yrs medical transcription experience.
- Medical Transcription certificate.
- Knowledge of medical/radiology terminology required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks; work independently and in a team required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective communication with referring clinics, employees, supervisors and the radiologists required.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have professional phone skills when dealing with clinics, radiologists, employees and supervisors.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safety-related work behaviors to ensure a safe work environment.
- Must be flexible to changes in procedure and workflow.
- Must be competent in using a computer keyboard, email. Experience in using Centricity, Microsoft Work and Nuance PowerScribe 360.
