Litigation Associate Attorney - Hybrid
Posted 2026-06-26Job Description Job Description McKennon Law seeks a motivated Litigation Associate for our Newport Beach ERISA and insurance practice. This role offers substantive responsibility, high-level advocacy, and the chance to develop expertise in a sophisticated, impactful area of law.
Responsibilities
Litigation: Draft complaints, motions, and appellate briefs; manage discovery and administrative record reviews.
Advocacy: Prepare for and assist with depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trials.
Pre-Litigation: Draft ERISA appeal letters and settlement demands.
Client Management: Maintain direct communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
Conduct Legal Research and use AI
Qualifications
Experience: 1-10 years of litigation experience preferred (Federal court and ERISA/Insurance background preferred).
Licensure: Active member of the California State Bar.
Skills: Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy; strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
