Junior Architectural Designer

DIALOG is a multi-disciplinary practice focused on improving community wellbeing through design. They are seeking a motivated Junior Architectural Designer to assist in creating and developing innovative design concepts while collaborating with Senior Architects and team members throughout all phases of projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and developing innovative design concepts, solutions while working collaboratively with a team during concept design, space planning, schematic design and design development
• Generate, ideate, and design in all phases under supervision
• Produce pre-design, design and technical drawings on all phases of a project under supervision
• Participate in the technical development of projects during construction documents with the guidance of Senior Architects
• Take ownership on project tasks and use critical and creative thinking to solve design and technical problems
• Maintain clear communication and coordination within internal team members and team leaders
• Support the development of the architectural in-house design production expertise and methodologies
• Attend or participate in client and user meetings

Skills

• 0-2 years architectural production/design experience
• Degree in Architecture
• Experience using Revit
• Proficiency in 3D modeling parametric modeling and visualization using Rhino, Grasshopper and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Strong visual and graphic communication skills
• Team oriented and committed collaborator
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on effective collaboration and integration
• Proven commitment to going above and beyond to help create impactful, community-oriented spaces
• Interest in parametric modeling, AI, etc
