About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team in Dundalk. In this role, you will be working as part of a global IT Operations team. As part of the team, you are responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and smooth operation of Vesta’s services. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to maintain service stability.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor applications, infrastructure and networks, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Create and respond to incidents and service requests, escalating as needed and providing timely resolution.
- Utilize monitoring tools to analyze system performance and identify trends.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues and implement changes.
- Communicate and collaborate with Vesta’s Partners to help identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of knowledge articles, processes, and procedures.
- Identify and aid in the Implementation of automation to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Essential
- Proven experience in an IT Operations role, preferably in a 24/7 environment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Proficiency in using monitoring tools such as Splunk.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues in complex IT environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Proxmox, VMware).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with APIs (SOAP and REST).
- Understanding of file transfer protocols and technologies.
