What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities & Projects

As a Data Science Intern on our Operations Research team, you'll be entrusted with meaningful work that contributes directly to arenaflex's operational success. Here's what you can expect:

• Data Exploration & Analysis: Query airline data from multiple sophisticated sources and perform exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions.


• Python Scripting & Modeling: Write Python scripts and build predictive models to forecast passenger behaviors, optimize flight operations, and recommend strategic aircraft actions that improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.


• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work independently while being eager to seek advice and ask questions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Revenue Management, Cargo, Customer Experience, and Tech Operations.


• Business Intelligence: Analyze large datasets to explain what can be gained from the data and how it can support critical decision-making across various business units.

What You Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications

We're seeking ambitious students who are ready to immerse themselves in real-world data science challenges. To be considered for this internship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Academic Standing: Current undergraduate student who has completed at least 2 years of a college degree program by the start of the internship.


• GPA Requirement: Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.


• Degree Focus: Major emphasis in Data Science, Data Analysis, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.


• Technical Skills: Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in Python programming and SQL querying.


• Location: Ability to work from the Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN office as determined during the interview process. Most teams operate on a hybrid schedule with some in-office presence and some remote work, subject to management approval.
