Job Summary
We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Respond to IT support tickets, calls, and emails in a timely manner
- Set up and configure new user accounts, devices, and access permissions
- Perform routine system maintenance and updates
- Assist with network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi)
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
- Support remote users via remote desktop tools
- Ensure security protocols (antivirus, updates, backups) are followed
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Familiarity with networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience with Active Directory and Office 365
- Prior experience in a helpdesk or technical support role
