The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Minnesota Financial Management Services (FMS) program, ensuring compliance and efficiency in service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver FMS services in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Minnesota self-directed services
- Respond to calls and emails within one business day
- Process documentation accurately and within established timelines
- Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Maintain high standards for productivity, accuracy, and customer service
- Enter and manage participant budgets
- Process invoices, reimbursements, and payments
- Maintain accurate participant, employee, and vendor records
- Track spending and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Support onboarding for participants and employees
- Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant
- Guide employees through onboarding and system setup
- Coordinate background checks, enrollment steps, and required notices
- Verify eligibility and monitor ongoing compliance
- Conduct monthly audits and resolve discrepancies
- Review budgets, payroll, and financial activity for accuracy
- Support reporting and ensure adherence to FMS regulations
- Assist with system updates, testing, and implementation
- Manage high-volume data entry with strong accuracy
- Track progress and communicate updates to the team

- Experience in human services or supporting individuals with disabilities
- College degree
