The Operations Support Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Minnesota Financial Management Services (FMS) program, ensuring compliance and efficiency in service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver FMS services in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on Minnesota self-directed services
  • Respond to calls and emails within one business day
  • Process documentation accurately and within established timelines
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintain high standards for productivity, accuracy, and customer service
  • Enter and manage participant budgets
  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and payments
  • Maintain accurate participant, employee, and vendor records
  • Track spending and ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Support onboarding for participants and employees
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant
  • Guide employees through onboarding and system setup
  • Coordinate background checks, enrollment steps, and required notices
  • Verify eligibility and monitor ongoing compliance
  • Conduct monthly audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Review budgets, payroll, and financial activity for accuracy
  • Support reporting and ensure adherence to FMS regulations
  • Assist with system updates, testing, and implementation
  • Manage high-volume data entry with strong accuracy
  • Track progress and communicate updates to the team

  • Experience in human services or supporting individuals with disabilities
  • College degree
