The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for verifying client eligibility, coordinating benefits, requesting, and loading payors and determining client coverage/responsibility for ABA services. This candidate will work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management department while performing all components in the Insurance Verification process for existing and new clients. The ideal candidate will encompass excellent customer service and keen attention to detail.

Work hours 8 am- 5 PM. Compensation according to experience $18 - $20 per hour.

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Obtain insurance benefits and eligibility by contacting payors in a timely manner via phone as well as various portals

Understand the verification of benefits and eligibility process and navigate the payor requirements accordingly

Enter verification of benefits and eligibility information accurately in Central Reach system

Provide support to clinics in review of verification of benefits and eligibility requests

Collaborate with all RCM teams and other departments to ensure efficiencies and strong communication and escalation of issues and/or enhancements

Identify critical issues and provide possible solutions in addition to elevating problems to leadership

Collaborate with the Auth/verification of benefits and eligibility Supervisor on special projects, workflow optimization and improvement efforts

Prioritize and multi-task efficiently while balancing a large work volume

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills with the ability to define problems, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Self-starter who can work in an unstructured environment, independently or in collaboration with a team

Inherent flexibility in demeanor with a positive can-do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit

Ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently while balancing a large work volume

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written

Possess strong organizational and follow up skills with an ability to work well under pressure

Ability to develop effective working relationships within the RCM department and across the organization

1+ years of experience in healthcare verification of benefits preferred

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
