As the Immigration Manager, you will lead and scale our global employment-based immigration strategy. You will oversee end-to-end immigration lifecycles for both candidates and employees, partnering closely with legal counsel to ensure strict compliance with global mobility and work authorization requirements. We are seeking a highly organized professional who is proactive, solutions oriented, and eager to build programs - not just to maintain them. This position will report to Senior Manager, HR Operations & Compliance. The Human Resources organization is responsible for recruitment, administration, compensation, benefits, training & development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Responsibilities
- Immigration Program Leadership
- Optimize and manage the company’s global and U.S. immigration programs, policies, and workflows.
- Oversee all employment-based immigration cases (H1B, TN, E3, O1, PERM/Green Card processes, etc.). based immigration cases (H1B, TN, E3, O1, PERM/Green Card processes, etc.).
- Partner with external immigration counsel to ensure timely, high-quality case preparation and filings. Quality case preparation and filings.
- Employee & Candidate Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, hiring managers, and recruiters on immigration matters.
- Provide guidance on visa requirements, timelines, transfer options, and long-term immigration planning. Term immigration planning.
- Support international hires during onboarding to ensure smooth work authorization transitions.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with federal and international immigration regulations, including I9 verification and E-Verify requirements.
- Maintain accurate immigration records, audit documentation, and case tracking systems.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to immigration and global workforce mobility.
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Legal, People Operations, Compensation, Payroll, and Global Mobility teams.
- Advise business leaders on immigration-related risks or impacts associated with hiring, promotions, or internal transfers.
- Provide immigration insights for workforce planning and talent strategies.
- Data, Reporting & Process Excellence
- Manage immigration dashboards, case tracking systems, and vendor tools.
- Generate insights and report on visa population, expirations, and program trends.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, International Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate immigration, global mobility, or related legal/HR function.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment-based immigration categories and processes; PERM and immigrant visa processes and familiarity with global work authorization preferred.
- Experience partnering with outside immigration counsel or managing vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to nonexperts.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational/project management skills.
- Familiarity with immigration related HR systems, Envoy.
- Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
