KION Group is a company that focuses on delivering high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle. The HR Generalist role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of HR processes and partnering closely with a senior HR Business Partner to support operational and strategic HR activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to HR Business Partners across the employee lifecycle, including employee data management, reporting, performance management, employee relations, and termination processes
- Serve as a first point of contact for employees and front-line managers, responding to HR-related questions in a timely, professional, and supportive manner
- Maintain accurate and reliable HR data within Workday, ensuring high standards of data integrity and validation
- Manage the end-to-end contractor lifecycle, including all onboarding and offboarding activities within Workday
- Prepare and extract standard HR reports for analysis and operational use
- Partner with HR Business Partners to support basic risk assessments and ensure alignment with HR policies and procedures
- Execute operational activities related to the annual Performance Management process, including reporting on leader completion rates, supporting calibration sessions (note-taking), and tracking follow-up actions
- Handle basic employee relations matters and support leaders with employee performance documentation and actions
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback and insights as appropriate
Skills
- Foundational understanding of HR processes, standards, and tactical HR practices
- Basic knowledge of professional HR principles and employee lifecycle management
- Working understanding of local employment laws and governance requirements
- Ability to apply established HR concepts, practices, and procedures independently within assigned responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, and follow-through
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with employees and leaders
- Entry-level to early professional HR experience with demonstrated ability to manage assigned responsibilities independently
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Human Resources, Business, Sociology, Psychology, or related field), or equivalent relevant experience
