Role Description
- This position serves as a Quality Analyst on the Quality Assurance team within the Georgia Public Health Laboratory. Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Director, the Quality Analyst will:
- Assure compliance with the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) for a high-complexity clinical laboratory.
- Implement the facility’s quality management system.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Support implementation of the inventory management system (Odoo).
- Assist with management of various applications within the Quality Management System (QMS) including the MediaLab document control system and Clinisys Laboratory Solutions (CLS).
- Play a key role in implementing CLS with the health districts.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject matter expert in quality management systems, providing leadership and guidance to staff.
- Oversee the facility’s inventory management system (Odoo), assisting laboratory sections with entering and labeling items.
- Assist with managing the facility-wide document control system using MediaLab and Clinisys Laboratory Solutions (CLS).
- Coordinate the completion of documentation of non-conforming events and assure implementation of corrective action.
- Assist laboratory sections with completion of calibration/certification activities and assure participation in appropriate proficiency testing programs.
- Participate in internal audits and external assessments by various regulatory agencies.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role in the area of assignment; or six (6) years of experience in the area of assignment, including three (3) years in a managerial role; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Mgr, Regulatory Compliance (RCM050) or position equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MediaLab products.
- Experience with using a laboratory information management system.
- Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and 2 years of laboratory experience or 2 years of experience directing in a laboratory quality management system.
