Role Overview

Genus Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Global Human Resources Director who will be a senior strategic and operational HR leader responsible for driving business performance through people across a global business unit and corporate functions, including R&D.

This role partners closely with the Business Unit Executive and leadership teams to translate business strategy into actionable people priorities and deliver the enterprise HR strategy within the business. Acting as the primary HR leader for the business unit, the role ensures alignment between commercial priorities and people outcomes through integrated, scalable, and data-driven HR solutions.

As a member of the Global HR Leadership Team, the role contributes to the enterprise people agenda and serves as a critical bridge between the business, HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs), and shared services to ensure consistent, high-quality execution globally.

The preferred location for this hybrid position is Hendersonville, Tennessee. Will consider fully remote candidates throughout the Midwest/Central region in the USA. Travel is approximately 30% domestic and occasional international.

The salary for this position ranges between $198,000 and $235,000 USD. The amount provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will

Operating in a complex, global, matrixed environment, you will be accountable for shaping and executing the people strategy across multiple geographies. You will drive organizational effectiveness, build leadership capability and ensure strong operational execution of core HR processes to enable sustainable business growth.

You will bring a high level of commercial acumen, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to balance enterprise consistency with business-specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Partnership

Partner with Business Unit Executive and leadership teams to shape and deliver the people and culture strategy aligned to business objectives

Translate business strategy into workforce, capability, and organizational priorities

Provide trusted counsel on leadership effectiveness, culture, performance and organizational design

Act as a credible advisor influencing senior stakeholders and decision-making

2. Execution of Enterprise HR Strategy

Lead the implementation and operationalization of global HR strategies, policies, and programs within the business

Ensure consistent adoption of core HR processes (talent management, performance, succession, workforce planning)

Tailor enterprise frameworks to meet business needs while maintaining global alignment

3. Leadership of HR Business Partnering

Lead and develop a distributed global HR Business Partner network

Build a high-performing, commercially focused HRBP model aligned to business outcomes

Ensure consistent delivery of HR support across regions and strong capability within the HR team

Drive accountability, development, and performance across HR teams

4. Collaboration with Centers of Expertise (CoEs) and HR Operations

Partner with global CoEs (Talent, Total Rewards, OD, HR Operations) to deliver integrated people solutions

Represent business needs in shaping global HR programs and priorities

Ensure seamless execution of CoE-led initiatives with strong feedback loops

Collaborate with HR shared services to drive efficiency and consistency

5. Organizational Effectiveness & Talent

Lead organizational design, restructuring and effectiveness initiatives

Oversee leadership development, succession planning, and talent pipelines

Support leaders to build high-performing, accountable teams

6. Culture, Engagement & Change Leadership

Shape and sustain a high-performance, diverse and inclusive culture aligned with enterprise values

Lead change management in support of transformation and growth initiatives

Drive employee engagement, retention and organizational health

Support leaders to role model culture and values

7. Workforce Planning, Analytics & Insights

Leverage data and analytics to inform workforce planning and strategic decision-making

Monitor key people metrics, translating insights into actionable interventions

Align workforce strategies with business growth, productivity, and transformation priorities

Drive use of HR systems and reporting to support decision-making

8. Governance, Risk & Compliance

Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local employment laws and corporate standards

Manage people-related risk within the business

Maintain strong controls, governance frameworks, and ethical standards

Oversee employee relations practices to sustain positive working environments

9. Leadership & Enterprise Contribution

Active member of the Global HR Leadership Team, contributing to enterprise HR strategy

Represent the business unit across corporate forums and decision-making bodies

Drive alignment, consistency, and collaboration across the global HR function

Support enterprise initiatives, planning, and governance processes

Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

15+ years of senior HR experience of which a significant period in a global, matrixed environment

Strong commercial acumen and ability to link people strategy to business performance

Proven ability to influence and lead across complex stakeholder groups

Deep expertise across talent management, workforce planning, and organizational design

Experience leading distributed, international HR teams

Strong data and analytical capability with ability to translate insight into action

Track record of delivering results in fast-paced, complex organizations

Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in a business or HR discipline

Ability to travel up to 30% domestic US and occasional international
