Freelance IT Consultant for Mac and Microsoft 365 in the Bay Area

We are a small K–8 school (17 staff) using MacBooks and Microsoft 365.

We are looking for a knowledgeable IT professional to help us implement a simple, secure setup for managing school data and devices.

Scope includes:

• Securing OneDrive / SharePoint (restrict external sharing, tighten permissions)

• Setting up Conditional Access (limit access to school-managed devices if appropriate)

• Advising on basic Mac device management (admin access, remote access setup)

• Ensuring best practices for protecting sensitive student and school information

This is a small, fixed-scope project, not ongoing IT support.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience with both Apple (macOS) and Microsoft 365 environments

• Can explain things clearly and keep solutions simple and practical

• Has worked with small organizations or schools (preferred)
