What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
As a Flight Instructor within our Captain Leadership Program, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training experiences to both internal arenaflex pilots and external clients. Your primary focus will be on the Delta Captain Leadership Path (DCLC) and Pilot Indoctrinat programs, ensuring that each participant receives the knowledge, skills, and guidance they need to succeed.
Primary Duties Include:
- Curriculum Delivery: Deliver organized, engaging classroom instruction for all DCLC and Pilot Indoctrinat courses, closely adhering to approved curricula within allocated time frames for each academic module.
- Program Coordination: Coordinate and provide instructor support for Fleet Common Programs, including all DCLC and Pilot Indoctrinat training sessions.
- Schedule Management: Coordinate the monthly DCLC instructor schedule, ensuring optimal coverage and efficient utilization of training resources.
- Roster Management: Coordinate and communicate the monthly DCLC student roster to ensure smooth program execution and clear communication among all stakeholders.
- Course Development: Collaborate with the core instructor team to coordinate DCLC course updates, incorporating the latest industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong, productive relationships with training development and media managers, analytics supervisors, and key growth stakeholders.
- Logistics Management: Manage classroom logistics and training resources, including MS PowerPoint presentations, electronic documents and manuals, whiteboards, handouts, and other instructional materials.
- Interactive Instruction: Lead meaningful, interactive discussions on critical topics including Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC) responsibilities, roles, and expectations for professionalism, leadership, decision-making, crew resource management, and hazard and error control.
- Feedback Integration: Act as an excellent listener, soliciting feedback from attendees and colleagues to continuously improve training effectiveness and participant experience.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate a customer service-driven approach in all interactions, ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment for all participants.
- Policy Education: Instruct on client company policies, procedures, and available resources, ensuring participants understand the regulatory and operational frameworks they will navigate as captains.
Work Schedule and Flexibility
We understand the importance of work-life balance, which is why arenaflex offers flexible scheduling options for our instructors. While you will be expected to maintain availability for weekends and holidays as required, we strive to accommodate your personal schedule whenever possible.
- Instructors can expect to be scheduled for approximately 10-12 training events per month, providing a balanced workload that allows for preparation and professional development.

- Occasional travel to non-Atlanta "off-site" training locations may be required, with appropriate accommodations and travel support provided.
What You Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking experienced aviation professionals who meet the following requirements:
- Authorization: Must be at least 18 years of age and have authorization to work in the United States.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency is required.
- Pilot Certification: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with Multiengine Land class rating.
- Experience: Must have served as a pilot at a 14 CFR Part 121 certified air carrier.
- Flight Hours: Minimum of 2,000 hours accumulated as Pilot in Command (PIC) at a 14 CFR Part 121 certified air carrier.
- Recent Service: Applications must be submitted no later than 24 months after retiring from a 14 CFR Part 121 certified air carrier. Exceptions may be considered based on individual circumstances.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with technology required for the position, including:
- Apple iPad tablet usage
- Corporate information systems, email, schedules, and virtual meeting platforms
- MS PowerPoint for presentation development and delivery

Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:
- Previous experience as a flight instructor or ground school instructor in a Part 121 environment

- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and instructional design principles
